RTC Legal Statements
Your privacy is very important to us. We want to make your experience on the internet as enjoyable and rewarding as possible, and we want you to use the internet’s vast array of information, tools, and opportunities with complete confidence. We believe it is important for you to know how we handle the information about you that is received by us when you visit. Online privacy focuses mainly on the protection of “customer identifiable” information (e.g. name, address, telephone number, email address, etc.) that an individual expects to be kept private. The following policy serves as a standard for all employees for collection, use, retention and security of nonpublic personal information.
Unless we specifically disclose it to you at the time of collection, we will not make customer-specific information that is gathered on our site available to unaffiliated organizations for commercial purposes unrelated to the business of RTC.

We do not collect and then sell, distribute, or exchange personal information with third parties. In order to comply with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (“COPPA”), RTC does not knowingly collect any information from children under 13.

We use this information internally and with our advertisers to better understand our audience, offer more appealing content and continuously improve the user experience. RTC may make use of a technology called cookies, in order to provide you with customized information for your specific market and to streamline and improve your user experience.

Customer Proprietary Network Information
Special Notice Regarding Your Account Information
From time to time, RTC changes its service offerings and makes available additional features and services, which may enhance and augment the service to which you are already subscribed. In order for us to determine which customers may benefit from the new services and enhancements, we will use information about your account from our databases, legally referred to as Customer Proprietary Network Information (CPNI) unless you restrict that use in the manner described below. CPNI includes information such as the long distance carrier and calling plan to which you are subscribed, calling features and plans to which you are subscribed, calling patterns and usage of various features, and charges associated with the services you subscribe to. Use of this data will allow RTC to identify service offerings to meet your individual needs.
For this purpose, CPNI data will be used by RTC and its affiliates only. This data will not be shared by RTC with any other outside source except as necessary and required to provide the service(s) to which you are already subscribed, and unless we are legally compelled to do so.
You have the right under federal law to protect the confidentiality of your account information and restrict the use of CPNI data, and we have a responsibility to protect your data. To restrict the use of your CPNI data, you must call the business office toll free at 0811 or 1.888.862.3115 during regular business hours, or email us at rtc@RTC.coop. Your denial or approval for RTC to use this data will not affect the provision of any services to which you subscribe. You may change your decision at any time and your decision will remain valid until you tell us otherwise. Again, we will only use your account information to market other telecommunications services and products RTC offers and no action is required unless you wish to restrict our use of your CPNI. You will still receive monthly bill inserts, newsletters and other publications that are sent to all customers, so that you are kept up to date on what is happening at RTC.
We look forward to being able to serve your telecom needs more efficiently with new and existing products and services based on the information we know about your account.
